I agree with this. I can't remember when it started but I would bet money it
is a byproduct of the Harvard MBA program.
I remember when people were called employees or just "people." I remember
when there was a Personnel Department. I remember when people used to say "I
have 10 guys working on this." I still speak that way and PC be damnned.

You're right, it's not. It's another way for CEOs to fire a few thousand or
a few tens of thousands of people and call it downsizing or right sizing or
a resource-action. That's morally corrupt. Just say what it is, you fired
tens of thousands of people. People, not cows. People, not resources.
