I guess beauty, or ugly, is in the eyes of the beholder.  I happen to like such 
structures, for multiple reasons.  If done we,, they don't have to be ugly. 
Outside maintenance can be rather minimal.  Put your money inside, where you'll 
be living.  Who you got to impress?
