Thanks for taking the time to do those :-). Someone snipped the part
where I said I understand that the hobbyist program is number 999 of the
top one thousand priorities at VSI.
But if you want to give your CRTL changes a workout, try building Perl:

Afer untarring:
$ @configure -"Dusedevel" -"Dusevmsdebug" -"des"
$ mmk
$ mmk test
That will run over 2,000 test scripts, many of which exercise the CRTL
considerably.
