Awesome! (and Thanks)
If we are to get OpenVMS out there to the rest of the world, we have to start by making things easily available to anyone who wants them
I've seen zero proof that making items available to the public will stop people attending bootcamp - I know there is the notion that this would be the outcome but that's not proof.
Those who are attending are doing so I would say primarily because of the networking / human side of the equation and I suspect would attend anyhow, so I present as much proof this way as to the contrary current belief that it would :-P
VSI, where is your lead here on getting OpenVMS out there in whatever form/shape/way possible ?
It's a push world these days and people will simply not bother if the content is going to still be tied to a physical location and only available to those huddling inside a particular building at a set time / date

lol the 80's comment ! Too dam funny :-)
It is still incredibly disappointing that the presentations will not be made public unless by the goodwill of the individual presenters
I've suggested donations to help cover costs, charging for the lectures to be released to those outside the attendee's inner sanctum, delayed delivery afterwards, crowdfunding etc.
I even looked at using Edx to see if one could present OpenVMS courses through that mechanism but I simply have run out of time to look at this further (and why not, Microsoft and IBM are already using it to push their wares).
One thing is for certain, old models of knowledge transfer needs to be dragged forward by 100 years and the internet needs to be embraced :-)
I'm going to keep chuckling about that 80's comment for quite some time...
