Each .ISO file also has a .ISO_VNC file. The download instructions says:

If you are already running VSI OpenVMS Alpha V8.4-2L1 you can use the
VMS Notary to validate the kit:

$ run ALPHA0842L2.ZIPEXE

Of course *I* cannot do that since we do not run VSI OpenVMS yet...
