Beyond marketing platitudes and pablums and in direct comparison and 
competition with other available platforms, what is that, and what are 
the comparative costs?

Selling into the installed base is obvious.    That can be a 
straightforward sale, once the purchaser believes there's a future in 
the product, and if the prices are not extractive.

Building on that installed base and finding new purchasers and new 
partners is the future.

Which means that current and new partners and VSI have to justify the 
selection of OpenVMS over other and often more familiar and variously 
good or better choices.
