[Info-vax] Next conference call for Open Source On OpenVMS - This THURSDAY, at 23:000 EDT

We would be very happy to have a large attendance!  But of course it is
SUMMER - Europe and much of America is on vacation or holiday (different
words for similar actions.). Anyway,  This coming Thursday the month Open
Source on OpenVMS conference call will be held.

We try to record each call.  Had a few technical issues over the last few
calls so have not had recordings.  But on the other hand have not had many
participants.  If you can not may this month's call put the call on your
calendar.  We have the call every THIRD THURSDAY of each MONTH.  The timing
of the call oscillates between 08:00 EDT/EST and 23:00 EDT/EST to
accommodate people in different timezones.
 
A note, John Malmberg has been able to get the framework of the
gnulib_assist project committed - specifically the vms_unix_to_vms_parse
routine first phase to support Unix to ODS-2/ODS-5/SRI/PWRK encoding -
CORRECTLY - so we can then PASS configure.sh tests and work toward
implementing support for gnulib - which would significantly assist in clean
porting efforts!
