Oracle is big.

Embedded Java must be 300-400 MB.

AQ must take up a bunch of space.

Client libs must be in the 0.5-1.0 GB range.

The executable itself must be gigantic - 11.2 (old) XE (free "toy" 
version) is 115 MB!

I think it creates 2 GB of system database stuff.
