The current plan is as follows:

Cluster compatibility kits will be created for all VSI V8.* versions, both architectures.  A VSI version with the cluster compatibility kit installed will cluster with all the HPE versions that VSI V8.* clusters with today.

V9.x systems (of *any* architecture) will not cluster with any HPE versions, nor will they cluster with any VSI versions without the CCK installed. Once a cluster contains a V9.x node, no non-conforming node will be allowed to join.
