I've been running my VMS cluster for more than 20 years, always with
LAT, never with DECnet. The problem appeared only after replacing a
node, which also has errors on the SCSI bus, so my guess is that this is
somehow related to the problem. I'll try replacing the cards and see
what happens. However, it happens only in about 1 in 8 boots of the
satellite and is easily fixed by restarting LAT (even though it is
already running), so it has low priority for me (life is short).
