But you can not argue that they are NOT much higher on other platforms.
That's why many companies with commodity OS's have adopted "patch-n-pray"
policies.
Never mind testing - just roll out the weekly patches and hope for the best.

Debateable as many conversations have shown here.
On the other hand, there are inherit weaknesses in Windows/*nix as well.
I repeat - no platform is 100% secure.

Please re-post any thread where anyone stated OpenVMS was 100% secure.

So you disagree with marketing and their view about emphasizing the relative
few # of issues in the past vs. what you say are potential issues. Fine.
I do expect there will be initial issues as it is new to the platform, but
do you really think that there will be 20-30+ security (not bugs) issues
each and every month for OpenVMS after V9.2?
The commodity OS culture has accepted this behaviour as normal and adapted
with patch-n-pray.
I do not think the OpenVMS culture will be so accommodating.
How many readers here think the OpenVMS Customer culture would accept 20-30+
security issues released each and every month in the time following the V9.2
release?
The culture of a platform is often not discussed here, but imho, this is a
big differentiator for OpenVMS.
