I would still consider that a niche.

Google groups find 703 posts with the words VAXELN and Pascal.

comp.os.vms, comp.sys.dec and a surprisingly large number
of posts in comp.lang.ada.

And it is obviously not all serious programming
questions but the usual very mixed bag of stuff
seen on usenet (lots of crap).

But there is some footprint.
