That was the conclusion I was coming to, just trying to edit the
system parameters to get to DecWindows or TCP/IP networking running is
such a pain. I can't even get EDT to behave sensibly.
For now I have plugged a terminal into the "Printer" port and can sign
onto VMS that way, and so get a more "normal" VMS session.
