People blind from birth usually don't notice anything wrong.  :-)  And 
it's not just EDT: it is MAIL, it is the debugger, it is NEWSRDR, and so 
on.

Just because something is old doesn't mean that it is not good.  I 
prefer the Beatles to Miley Cyrus.  :-)

I'm familiar with Emacs.  At least it has EDT emulation (but only the 
keypad, which is just a small part of EDT).

I never said a GUI, just CDE, which they will support anyway via 
on-board graphics.  Don't confuse DECwindows with a browser with a GUI.
