The purpose of a hobbyist licence is to let the tyre kickers get their hands on things and tinker away

I cringe at the number of people turned away before HP woke up and realised what a boon for the OS having a hobbyist licence was

I posted on a major IT site, how to do everything to get an Alpha build running on a PC. It was met with great enthusiasm by a lot of people, up until the point where you could not get hold of the media that is

Give it to the Linux fanboi's, they will pull it apart and start building in all the things they love about Linux into it and OpenVMS could be all the more richer for it

*don't give me that snivelling crap that it's not Linux, guess what, Linux won, get over it, now let's get back to the task of building OpenVMS again and stop trying to tell everyone it's OpenVMS of the highway)
