Linux patches are already out; a friend that does lots of video 
rendering reports testing the render of a given video before/after as 
being 14:05 (mm:ss) before the patch, 14:30 after, +/- 2s. So some hit, 
but not 30%.

I suspect (and has been speculated by some with more in-depth 
understanding) that virtualized server providers will be hit much harder.
