When I had a look at this recently, this stuff looked really good for
the distributed processing of the type you mention above but it was
very unclear to me just how good it is when it comes to the 100%
data integrity mission critical transaction processing that z/OS
and VMS do across multiple sites.

I wouldn't want to use VMS to do the kinds of task you mention above.
OTOH, there's nothing in what I have seen so far that would make me
comfortable using this stuff for the wide-area disaster tolerant 100%
data integrity that VMS clusters provide.
