Obviously it is impossible to say when we'll have any results. It 
depends on several things. But I can assure you that there is at least 
some effort being spent on making progress.

And I can assure you that I have a bunch of physical machines that will 
stay around for a long time yet. But most places I know who still run 
PDP-11s in production have moved over to emulated machines.
