[Info-vax] PMDF Send From File option?

Just ran into a VMS site with PMDF in the wild and they have a problem. I never got to play with PMDF (had to give up my home hobby playtime years ago) so going in cold and I don't currently have hands on access to the system.

We've used sendmail.com by Jerry Braga to build MIME email messages with a defined body text file and 1 to n properly encoded attachments for years, and it works great. We tweaked it (or Jerry did, don't remember) to work with Process Software TCPWare and Communigate Pro, on top of TCPIP Services (its all the same, just the last step of submitting the built file to the send queue varies).

PMDF's send command, as explained to me, seems to let you send a file as the email body, or as an attachment. Period. They'd like to get something more sendmail-like working.

Is there a 'send from file' type option with PMDF that takes a completely built MIME encapsulated file and just pushes it into PMDF's send queue? Or a way to do an email with both a message body and one or more MIME encapsulated attachments using the 'send' commands?

Maybe if the mime encapsulated file is sent as the 'body' with the correct assortments of send qualifiers... may have them test that.

Thanks

Rich
