If it's not available in the SNMP MIB data, then the last time I went 
looking for this environmental and thermal data a while back, it's 
buried in a very deep rabbit hole of very undocumented and amazing 
cryptic APIs.   The Insight Management agents and related WBEM/WEBES/IM 
tools are the official path to this and related data, though at least 
some of it might also be visible via the OpenVMS SNMP MIBs.   With the 
Marvel-class AlphaServer boxes, the undocumented system service 
$get_env_sensors system and the definition of the semi-documented 
WBEM$PRIVATEER logical name is the usual path.  And this whole area can 
be a deep, deep rabbit hole.   Conversely, middle-vintage I2C-based 
AlphaServer boxes do have SYI$_TEMPERATURE_VECTOR, SYI$_POWER_VECTOR, 
SYI$_FAN_VECTOR and SYI$_THERMAL_VECTOR.   Plugging in an APC NetBotz 
or (more recently) an Apple Homekit sensor is likely vastly easier than 
wading into one of the newer boxes, if it's not in the MIBs.
