Yes, it was a like complete mini OS that ran on the bare hardware.
We used it for apps development on Apple II / Corvus and Sage 68k
systems.

Edit, Compile, Link, Filer Run, etc across the top of the terminal.
Quite an elegant system for it's day. With present fast cpus, an
intermediate P interpreted layer should not be a problem at
all...
