I've thought about this a bit more.
Don't know if everyone would agree, but, since VSI is intending on
having a hobbyist program, they could approach HPe about "taking over"
the HPe program.
I'm sure HPe would like to get rid of the thing.
Not really any more trouble for VSI.
Now, whether VSI wishes to do so might be another issue.
If I was setting up the VSI hobbyist program, which I'm not doing so,
I'd just have a download site for all the products, allowing anyone to
download "stuff", and if PAKs are required, automate it so no work by
VSI is required. Set it up once, and forget it, with addition of new
VSI products the only ongoing work.
That does lead into the concept of a "demo disk", which is more a
marketing thing than a hobbyist thing.
