A bit off this immediate topic, but somewhat relevant...

I spoke with a recruiter a while back that was looking for someone with experience with OpenVMS V7.4.  When I indicated that such a version did not exist and that V7.3-2 and V8.4 were the most common, I was met with "These are the requirements" as the only response.  After a while, I just gave up.

The other interesting note is that these recruiters often mix up VMS and MVS.
I had someone contact me because of my VMS experience, but wanted JCL expertise as well.  When I explained that JCL was an IBM language associated with MVS, I heard crickets.  Another case of not knowing what is being requested.  I suspect that the posting for VMS in this case was a typo...
