Absent a list from contemporaneous Rdb documentation, you could enable 
and use OpenVMS security auditing and monitor an installation, or you 
could perform and installation and then check the file modification and 
file creation dates, or crack open the kit backup saveset and read the 
KITINSTAL.COM DCL procedure.  Of the three, I'd likely have a look at 
the KITINSTAL.COM procedure and see how complex it is.  If it's 
slinging around files as most are wont, it should be a fairly quick 
read.
