We (Major warehousing / logistics forwarder) ran Windows NT 4.0
Enterprise Alpha on 300+ AlphaServer 4100s for many years. Very
reliable for us. Tried some 8200s with NT, but we were testing
Citrix on Proliant servers and eventually retired all the
AlphaNT platforms.
We ran VMSClusters and PathWorks as well.
Novell and IBM tried to get us off those platforms all the time.
Management told them both to take a hike. They weren't going
to fix anything that wasn't broken.
