[Info-vax] Multi-site OpenVMS field upgrade options?

Latest embellishment on the "dry cleaning" approach.

Attach temporary external mass storage to the candidate system
(USB for Integrity, SCSI for Alpha).

Storage to contain bootable media for O/S.

Image of upgraded system+user data uploaded to the external media
after preparation.

Boot from the external media, offload the image container
overwriting the existing production OS+user data logical volume.
(Prior backups of course).

Avoids having to make any permanent hardware upgrades or swaps
of the target system.

n.b. I've test Integrity USB bootable solid state and rotating storage on RX2600, RX2660.

Works fine even if not officially supported.
