At last, a balanced approach

Some folks have a fairly good password and just append digits at the end to increment when a password change is forced

I remember that old digital training video on security that showed the Vax in the forest and in that video I think they mentioned being sensible about password length because making it too long just made users write down their passwords and therefore defeated password security

A balanced approach wins long term I think
