I wish I could remember what source kits I had seen used IA64 to
reference x86-64. I remember this because I was surprised at seeing
Itanium support in the kits until I dug further and found it was x86-64
code.

Consolidating physical machines onto virtual machines brings lots of
benefits but also brings major new attack vectors if you are not
careful. Having lots of what were physical machines now hosted in
one virtual environment makes the underlying virtual environment
a really valuable target.
