I'm not going to argue that such happens, cause it does, however, it's
not quite the same thing. If you make any changes, then it's not the
original software.
What I'm saying is that if nothing changes, the software will continue
doing what it is set up to do. It doesn't "break" as in a failed power
supply, or any other HW issue.
What you're mentioning is changed requirements. That's not, in my
opinion, the software breaking.
