It already has - and the reality is - the python devs aren't 
supporting python2 anymore. They've been very clear about this.
All the action for new features and additions and bug fixes and
everything else has been in python3. They've supported python2
far longer than they had wanted.

It's just a pain to upgrade. I would imagine everyone here can
appreciate that challenge!
