I am talking about non-professional programmers and what scripting
language would be easier/better for them to use in their applications.
I have not really said anything about what is better for professional
programmers, but I like the fact I can use Python all over the place,
both as a standalone application and as an embedded scripting language.
Scripting languages are also embedded into major applications such as
Blender which are used by people who are highly capable in their
field but who may not be professional programmers.
The question is whether Python is so popular in these types of
applications because it is a lot easier to use by non-professional
programmers than, say, Perl would be ?
Simon.
