At a guess, the menu utility in question was probably the 
one to be found on (and documented on) each CONDIST CD, 
close to the top level directories. I'm sure Bill will 
find it in due course. I don't know if it would be on 
"hobbyist" CDs.

I think it was called CDMENU, by the way.
