The CD I am using worked fine to install Ultrix-32 and OpenBSD on the
VS3100 so I know that isn't the problem. Some of the one's I have
tried are actually DEC CDROM's and get identified as such when I do
a SHOW DEV at the dead sergeant prompt.

And while I haven't seen them in ages, I always had my best luck
with the black ones. They also retained what was recorded longer
than most of the shiny ones.

Currently dd-ing one of the images to a real hard disk using OpenBSD
on the VAX. Can't wait to see how that goes.
