I will admit that I do not know the details.

Still, if there is a bug, then VSI will be fixing it in their stuff, 
and, unless HP was a complete dolt (well, that is still possible) they 
got some stipulation that they can have access to VSI fixes.  They were 
sort of in the driver's seat on what VSI got, right?  So, I'd guess that 
HPe might just tell VSI about the problem, and ask for a copy of the fix 
when it's available.  Then just plug it in (fixed) by HPe people.
