   Apparently, our definitions of "good idea" and
"successful" differ considerably.  See previously reported
figures.

   DNS is not required when trying (almost) all IP addresses.

   The point was not that using non-standard ports confers
invulnerability, only that it stops the vast majority of
annoying break-in attempts.  For which, the evidence is clear
and unequivocal.  It's not complicated.  What I fail to
understand is why this is not clear to anyone.
