ALLOCLASS is only needed if more than one system has a direct path to
the storage.

This would be if DUAnnn on FRODO used the same exact container file as
DUAnnn on GANDLF.

This would only work on SimH if there is no buffering or caching of
reads/writes to the storage by either SimH or the host operating system.
Then the alloclass would be set the same on both systems.

If you do not have multiple paths to the same storage, you do not need
to deal with alloclass and it can just confuse things.

I recommend that you do some reading at:
https://sourceforge.net/p/vms-ports/wiki/Home/

I run SimH under LXD and libvirt. It both simplifies the networking and
it makes the systems show up as somewhat manageable systems via most
standard open source private cloud management tools.

DECwindows files are used if you want to use X11 to access your
SimH/VAX. However you need a Alpha or IA64 VMS system as a font server
to get things looking right. A FreeAXP instance will work. I have not
tried ES-40 for that yet.

As you learn, help update this wiki for others.
