That's going to be a tough one, I think, Lee, unless Glenn Everhart
put those issues on the Sig tapes. It would have been the Ralph
Stamerjohn era. I used to have a telephone number for Ralph because
he was working a decade ago for a company we do business with, but
I suspect he is long retired, and probably would disavow any
knowledge of RSX at this point anyway.
As I recall, that era was when you joined a Sig and the issues were
mailed out directly - i.e., before DECUS started binding them
together in an attempt to have only one item to be published and
distributed instead of dozens of small newsletters mailed
individually.
A simple search on DECUServe/Encompasserve returns a smattering
of ancient hits:
EISNER_111> sear decuserve_titles multi,taske/mat=and
HARDWARE_HELP 8-JUL-1987 25.18 The Multi-Tasker is okay now
PDP-11 365 27-NOV-1991 2 [RSX] Old Multitaskers up for grabs
PDP-11 18-DEC-1991 365.2 Multitasker resting place
PDP-11 423 15-MAR-1995 0 Early Multi-Tasker fiche available
Item 25.18 is just a comment that someone should send their technical article
to Bruce Mitchell, MultiTasker editor at the time.
365.* is Galen Tackett offering to give away his set of low-numbered
MultiTaskers. Outcome:
"The Multitaskers went to Arnold De Larisch, who is working on an
archival project for the SIG."
423.* is Tony Scandora's offer but there were no responses.
FWIW, both of those conferences are available online - see "readonly
access" link at
