Actually, I think BLISS -> Scala makes more sense.  They both share at least
a couple paradigms:

 * Both are expression languages
 * In BLISS everything is a machine word, in Scala everything is an object.

As a BLISS programmer I actually felt quite at home writing Scala :-)
