  Yah, I think that's got to be the case. I did a few tests INITing disks of 
assorted sizes, and VMS loses the ability to INIT and/or mount ODS-1 style 
disks around 500 MB or so.

  RSX must have gotten larger disk support that didn't make it to VMS.  Kind 
of like  of ODS-1++. Another example of RSX's superiority over VMS.

  I was fooled by the VMS MOUNT error message into thinking VMS didn't 
support ODS-1, instead of,  that  it only supports it to a certain size.
