Why? Our group started working with PDP-11 back in the 1970s (RT-11, RSX-11M and BSD-UNIX) then moved to VAX/VMS, then on to Alpha/OpenVMS, then finally Itanium/OpenVMS. One of my peers became so ticked off when he learned that Itanium had no BIOS, he promptly retired.
