Rod, 
I put a Samsung 850 250 GB SSD on an RX3600 which uses an HP LSISAS106x controller. SHO DEV showed tht the SSD was recognised for what it was 
but it was not possible to INIT the disk, nor mount it foreign.
In both cases the error message was %MNT-F-ABORT, aborted
