I thought as much.  So if I wanted to change IP addresses on the network cards I'd have to bring up tcpip services first.  Which in my case would not be wise because then I'd have network IP clashes.  I'm trying to figure a way to change those IP settings without really bringing up the network.  I thought a min boot might help.
