[Info-vax] rx2600 hardware question

My rx2600 is missing (at least) one pin on the large connector that interfaces to a PCI cardcage. Several years back I bought a used main board, which did not work: invalid/mismatching system id(s)

Luckily Hein van den Heuvel wanted to get rid of an rx2600 so I bought a mainboard plus the frontpanel board (the blinken led’s board). 
I just swapped that little board and got the same error 55: invalid/mismatching system id(s)

There is an exchange of information about id’s  between these main and frontpanel boards. Was the software to manipulate the ids ever released to the general public?
