Maplesoft Consulting is sourcing for our clients at Shaw who are for a VMS Developer for a 3-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension beyond that.

Job Description:
CBS VAX VMS Developer
Accountabilities
·         Solution Design
·         Solution Development
·         Technical Application Support
Key Responsibilities
·         Develop and maintain the code for a complex in-house legacy billing system
·         Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and technical leads across multiple teams to assess and design system changes and new solutions
·         Work closely with internal/partner QA teams to ensure complete and successful testing for code developed
·         Manage workload between multiple concurrent projects
·         Provide technical/code-level support related to the application and integrations
·         Provide after-hours support on occasion
Qualifications
·         Minimum of 7 years' experience with Vax VMS basic, DTR, DCL, RMS
·         Billing system experience
·         Understand software development lifecycle processes
·         Understand project management processes
·         Experience with managing source code and build processes
·         Experience testing and debugging code
·         Analytical mindset and critical thinking
·         Have effective collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
·         Willingness to learn
