That’s been my assumption with my InfoServer 150VXT, so I’m not planning to
use it for too much.

I received and set up my InfoServer around the same time you set up yours,
though without checking USENET; I was able to write the image from the
InfoServer.zip file to an SD card and use it with the same SCSI2SD that I’m
using for the InfoServer’s own storage, just by doing a “B /R5=D0000001
DKA400:”. (I configured the SCSI2SD to export SCSI 4 as a CD-ROM with
vendor string DEC and ID string RRD42, taking up the first 700MB of the SD
card, for ease of blasting new images to it.)

I’ve since also been able to install the VXT 2.5 software and MOP a
VXT2000+ from the InfoServer, as well as connect to it via LAT from the
VXT2000+ and from my VT520 connected to a DECserver 90M on the same
network. So far everything’s been pretty straightforward, once I was able
to boot.
