I have not seen any indication of any SNMP support on the SmartArray controllers themselves or the related OpenVMS O/S handshaking

I presume this means that someone who have to create a privileged agent from scratch to interrogate and present status detail retrieved from the SmartArray controller onto SNMP requests.
