Reboot is certainly overkill.  Redefine and restart OPCOM I guess is the 
way to go.
However, SET BROADCAST=NOOPCOM does what I want.
Why has this never bothered me before?  Could it be that a reboot with 
the console terminal switched off prevents OPC$OPA0_ENABLE from being 
defined?
