No kidding! I only purchased the Envy because it had two drive bays. One had
linux and the other has VMS via vtAlpha. From the get-go, its keyboard sucked!
I had to type really hard to get it to recognize keystrokes. It didn't take me
long to feel the strain in my fingers when typing on it. Its sound system, by
Beats, sucked too. The entire laptop would buzz from bass even if the bass was
rolled off below 200Hz. Too boot, HP raped me on the price of the hardware for
the drive bracket for a second drive. This *should* have been provided in the
second drive bay but it wasn't. I posted here in comp.os.vms several years ago
about having to pay close to $50 for 4 screws and a thin metal bracket. FWIW,
its power supply board board smoked rendering it a very large area paperweight.
