Thanks, I tried adding TTA0 to the configuration.

I tried logging in there, but I had the same problem.  There must be some extra characters or something.

If act normal, asking me to enter the new password twice and then it reports illegal password syntax.

I figure there must be something wrong with the putty terminal configuration where it sends a control character or something.  But I cannot figure it out.
