Because of the problems today described in another thread, I had powered
down the cluster completely. When it booted, at first only two nodes
came up. The full shadow copies and merges happened as expected.
However, there were two shadow sets with two members each, one of which
in each case was on the last node to boot, after all shadow sets had
been mounted by the other two nodes. When they were mounted by the
third node to boot, there was no shadow copy at all. While it is true
that there was nothing written to these disks recently, is HBVS actually
smart enough to notice that and decide that no copy is necessary?
